Meet the four contestants from this episode:

Hannah is from New York, and is blessed to be the oldest of nine. She enjoys reading, playing the piano, and making healthy snacks and dinners. She loves the Bible Bee because God's Word never returns void. Hannah says that the true winners are those who apply the Bible to their lives.

Luke, who is from Oregon, has participated in the Bible Bee all six years -- qualifying for Nationals four of those times. He says that the Bible Bee has been a blessing to him, and he's glad that he's done it. Luke enjoys farming sheep and doing veterinarian work.

Daniel is from Connecticut. When he's not studying for the Bible Bee, he enjoys building with his dad and reading books by G. A. Henty. Daniel says that, though we may read our Bibles every day, the Bible Bee helps with digging deeper into God's Word.

Kaitlyn, who is from Michigan, is seventeen years old. She enjoys raising and breeding parakeets. She has participated in the Bible Bee ever since it first started in 2009, and has even memorized 4,000 verses. Kaitlyn says that the Bible Bee is good motivation to study God's Word.

Each contestant recited three passages of Scripture and answered three knowledge questions.

Hardest question:
Question: "Don't judge me" has become a common phrase in today's society. In which of your memory passages does Jesus warn against hypocrisy?

Favorite verse:
"Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you."
Hosea 10:12

The winner, Hannah, will advance to the semi-final round.
Congratulations to all four of the contestants!
