Meet the four contestants from this episode:
Caleb is originally from Florida but his family are missionaries overseas. He likes taking pictures and videos for his dad who then posts them online. Caleb has been doing Bible Bee for three years and enjoys it.
Angela is from Minnesota. She is nine years old, plays softball, tennis, the piano, and the flute. She also loves to dance and makes up dances to go with the Bible Bee Scripture songs. Angela also helps out with her family at City Life Works where they give out free meals.
Gavriel is from Florida. He’s ten years old and loves playing the piano. He especially enjoys composing his own pieces. Gavriel says he, “loves people and wants them to know God’s Word and take it to heart.”
David is from Illinois. He likes playing soccer and swimming. When asked what he likes best about Bible Bee, he answered the oral rounds because he gets to stand in front of a microphone. David isn’t homeschooled so he has to work hard to find time in his schedule to study for Bible Bee.
Each contestant recited three passages of Scripture and answered three knowledge questions.
Hardest question:
Question: Which prophet prophesied the fall of the Egyptian city?
Answer: Jeremiah
Favorite Verse:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
The two contestants with the highest scores, Angela and Gavriel, will advance to the semi‐final round. Caleb and David are still eligible for a producer’s wild card spot.

Congratulations to all four of the contestants!
