National Bible Bee Game Show Recap: Episode 102

The fifth episode of the National Bible Bee Game Show aired June 10th at 5:30 and on June 13th at 9:30.  Again, this was a Primary show, which is open to 7 to 10 year-olds.

Meet the four contestants from this episode:

Meredith is from Washington. She enjoys playing violin and piano. Meredith loves Anne of Green Gables, so much so, that she has a cat named Minnie May. She says that she hopes that the National Bible Bee Game Show reaches people so that they will know Jesus.

Thomas, who is from Tennessee, enjoys Math and Geography. Last summer, his family went on a trip out west, visiting places like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. Thomas loves the Bible Bee!

Emma is from Texas, and is nine years old. Some of her hobbies include reading, singing, and doing arts and crafts. Emma says that Bible Bee helps her to put her faith in God, because it's hard and she can't do it on her own.

Franklyn, who is from Maryland, is also nine. This is his first year to do Bible Bee. He enjoys reading and building robots. Franklyn also enjoys music, and even makes up songs.

Each contestant recited three passages of Scripture and answered three knowledge questions.

Hardest question:

Question: Genesis 15 says that because God is with him, a Christians should not _____.
Answer:  Fear

Favorite verse:

Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!

The two contestants with the highest scores, Meredith and Emma, will advance to the semi-final round.  Thomas and Franklyn are still eligible for a producer's wildcard position in the semi-final composition.
