Five a week challenge: Week 5

12:00 AM

As we are nearing the end of this challenge, I am suddenly realizing how many more verses I would like to do, but won't have time to! Isn't it wonderful that none of the time that we have spent doing this was wasted?! Some of you have asked if we will be continuing this challenge until June 22nd because the date for the start of Bible Bee has changed. I have decided to go ahead and end it on June 1st, that way you will have time to review your verses before locals begins, and also memorize anything else that you have been wanting to.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
Every single word in the Bible is from God! There is not one sentence that does not have a purpose. God never speaks an idle word.

Joshua 1:8
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."
When people think of the word success, they often think of financial success. But this is not true success. True success is glorifying God. We should constantly be meditating on, speaking, and living out God's Word, so that we can better serve God!

Psalm 138:2
"I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word."
No words needed. This is a great verse!

Proverbs 28:9
"If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination."
If we don't listen to God's Word, then our prayers disgust Him. We need to be willing to hear the truth from the Bible in order to have right fellowship with God.

Only one more week after this! Great job!

Please make sure that your comment is in accordance with Colossians 4:6: "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person." I will not reply to every comment, but if you have a question or concern, I will try to get back with you.
Thanks for making my day!
